Romansleigh Revel & Dog Show - August 7th, 2023

Our annual Revel was held on Sunday afternoon 7th August this year in the Webber's Barn and Field at the heart of the village.

In a week of storms and high winds, we were blessed on the Sunday by perfect weather!

This year visitors to the Revel were greeted by our fabulous new entrance banner made by David Ames and the South Molton Town Band

Family Dog Show

As always the Family Dog Show was hugely popular with no less than 13 fun classes for the dogs to enter from 'Waggiest Tail' to 'Best Sausage Catcher' and entrants came from far and wide. Many thanks to Angie Doe for arranging another really great event and to Nigel Young for his expert judging.

Other Activities

The produce stall, supplied with loads of home made and home grown produce was very popular as was the tea and cake stall. There was Guess the Weight of the Sheep, a High Striker, Skittle Alley, Coconut Shy, Tombola, Bric-a-Brac, Children’s crafts and games and face painting.

Big thank you!

We were able to raise an terrific £1040, after expenses, for our community. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone involved.

Remember you all have a say in how we use the funds!

This year we replicated the vintage poster to advertise the Revel far and wide.

The Romansleigh Revel itself has been going for over 70 years and is always held on the first Sunday in August.
