New parish clerk appointed

At our last PC meeting in May we also thanked our outgoing Clerk Sue Squire. Sue had worked for Romansleigh for a number of years providing invaluable service and guidance to Councillors but had decided to consolidate the number of parishes where she held the position of Clerk.

The Parish Council are pleased to announce that our new Parish Clerk is Debbie Cook.

Debbie commenced her duties on the 1st June, 2023. She is also Parish Clerk to Kings Nympton PC, helping to reinforce local links.

Debbie is an employee of the Parish Council and her formal duties include ensuring that our PC satisfy our legal duties under the Local Government Act 1973, providing guidance to Councillors, as well as being our formal link to North Devon Council and Devon County Council. She is also responsible for ensuring the Parish finances are managed correctly with regular financial reports to Councillors. Debbie’s contact details can be found on the website.
